The performance is based on “Aladdin and the Magic Lamp” from “1001 Nights,” but the tale is told by the Genie of the Lamp, who is not merely a passive fulfiller of wishes, but also the cause of many twists in the characters’ fates.
After fulfilling his most difficult, yet sweetest mission—namely, to bring the two lovers together—the Genie is now free… but is he satisfied with this?
