SYNOPSIS

The author of the famous play “My Wife’s Name Is Boris,” Rafi Shart, this time transports us into the world of cougars—mature women who prefer to have intimate relationships with men significantly younger than themselves.

One evening, 22-year-old Frank (Daniel Peev) meets Vanessa (Nevena Bozukova), his mother’s best friend, at a cougar party, and the morning after the party, he takes her home to make love. Unfortunately, his mother Lulu (Albena Pavlova), on whose absence they had counted, returns home unexpectedly and finds them on the living room sofa. She can barely recover from the shock when she realizes that her son and her friend feel an irresistible attraction to one another.

To her, this fact is a sign of moral decay and stands in stark contrast to her traditional upbringing.

Vanessa advises Lulu to join the club of mature women who love young men and start attending their parties to resolve her intimate issues. After much persuasion, Lulu agrees to go to one such party, where, to her great surprise, she discovers that her son’s former classmate, Manyu, has been in love with her since fourth grade. She overcomes her initial reserve and gives in to Manyu’s advances, but despite this, she still cannot accept her son’s relationship with Vanessa.

To top it all off, Lulu has serious financial problems and is facing eviction from her home in the coming days if she doesn’t repay a 27,000-euro loan to the bank. The situation is even more mind-boggling due to the fact that it is her ex-husband—Roger (Stanimir Gamov)—who is the director of the bank branch but a complete failure in his personal life, who derives a perverse pleasure from Lulu’s financial difficulties and the prospect of her becoming homeless.

The play concludes by celebrating the right of mature women around the world to be happy by engaging in casual intimate relationships with men younger than themselves.
