There are weeks when the only thing that matters is waiting for Friday night. There are days spent entirely planning for it. There are people for whom Friday night holds the status of a religious holiday.
But there are also many who can only celebrate it in their wildest dreams. Like, for example, the dads. Four young men, who are getting fewer and fewer chances to have fun, tell us how a Friday night might go as they slip into different roles. They show us which key fits where and which door is the right one, and then demonstrate how a Friday night binge can throw the whole puzzle into disarray. They lead us toward a dreamy conclusion to the evening, but a trip to the restroom abruptly changes everything.
They reveal exactly how much longer the preparation time should be than the party itself. They immerse us in a fragmented world that elevates the longing for extreme experiences to a cult. Because you only live once.
The performance is suitable for ages 16 and up.
