On August 3, Rosalia De Souza will bring the tropical breeze of Brazilian music to the stage of Sofia Summer Fest. The bossa nova star will present her new album “Inspirada”, which was released on 25 March this year.
In the live performance of “Inspirada” Rosalia De Souza will include the most popular hits and unreleased tracks from her new project. Joining her on stage will be the great musicians Paolo Di Sabatino on piano, Antonio De Luise on double bass, Roberto Rossi on drums and Sandro Deidda on saxophone, who will make a modern and dynamic arrangement of traditional Brazilian rhythms.

Rosalia was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, but at the age of only 23 she went to Rome, Italy, where she studied music theory and jazz singing. At that time, she began to create songs with various Brazilian musicians and perform them in the best jazz clubs in Rome, until her talent was noticed by the famous Italian jazz producer and DJ Nicola Conte. Their collaboration secured international fame for the exotic lady.
“Garota Moderna” was Rosalia De Souza’s first solo album in 2003 and it was followed two years later by “Garota Diferente”, featuring selected musicians and DJs from Europe. “Brasil Precisa Balançar” was recorded entirely in Rio de Janeiro, but made it all the way to Japan. It features bossa nova maestro Roberto Menescal himself on guitar, and he is also the album’s artistic director. In September 2009, “D’Improvviso” was released, and Rosalia’s last album before “Inspirada” was 2018’s “Tempo”, in which the singer unleashed her poetic nature and created original lyrics to her songs.
Rosalia De Souza’s heartfelt performance will keep Brazilian music fans in a sunny mood for the rest of the summer. Rosalia De Souza, 3 August at Sofia Summer Fest. Tickets in the Eventim network.
