The fourth edition of the Asian Festival returns to Sofia on July 2 on the stage of the Summer Festival in South Park II, behind the building of the Earth and Man National Museum.

The official opening of Sofia Summer Fest is coming up on July 2. The Sofia Summer Fest, which will last until 30 September and takes place in South Park II, behind the building of Earth and Man Museum.
This year’s kick-off will be given by Treasures of the East, the Asian Festival, which is organized on the initiative of the Indonesian Embassy in Bulgaria, together with 11 other diplomatic missions – Vietnam, India, Iran, Cambodia, Mongolia, United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Palestine, Republic of Korea, Philippines, and Japan.
During the festival, visitors will be able to learn about the culture and traditions of different countries, take part in Yoga classes, Taekwondo, various Asian dances and much more. The festival will start at 10:00 and continue with stage performances until 19.30 and exhibition stands until 22:00.
Treasures of the East is announced in support of the МС – Мога Сам Foundation and their 1000 Cranes campaign to fight multiple sclerosis. All visitors will have the opportunity to participate in the folding of cranes, donating their time as a sign of empathy and having the opportunity to offer financial assistance to people with MS, but also to ensure their own emotions and psychological health stay in balance and feel fulfilled of their innermost desires
“We expect over 10,000 visitors to take part in the festival and enjoy more than 30 different activities with a variety of Asian performances, dance, music, culinary delights and martial arts. Guests will have the opportunity to experience the Treasures of Asia while supporting the festival’s charitable initiative. All proceeds will be donated to the fight against multiple sclerosis, the cause of МС – Мога Сам Foundation”, says Kaloyan Stoyanov from the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, project coordinator of the Asian Festival in Sofia.
The Asian Festival is supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria, Sofia Municipality, the State Cultural Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the special support of the Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria – Mrs. Iliana Iotova.
